About the Author:
David Zambrano is a Venezuelan born choreographer and dance artists, internationally acclaimed dance educator who has given the world of contemporary dance a legacy of his individual approach to dance composition, and a new vocabulary too.

For over 25 years, David Zambrano is a central persona, of monumental proportions for his contributions to the international dance community. His passion for cultural exchange has influenced his work significantly. While most of his time he lives and works in Amsterdam, he teaches and performs world-wide and is rightfully considered as an dance ambassador and connector of the many and diverse dance communitites around the globe and across disciplines.

Technieques that he has developed and known as the Flying Low and Passing Through belong to true innovations of contemporary dance and have had a real impact on the development of dance improvisation.

Recently, in 2010, he was awarded with the Guggenheim Choreography Fellowship.
