The dance performance YOU was created based on the idea of staging and video inscenation of the world of poet Enes Kišević (The Sun, The Wind and You). Through the impressionable dance duet which evolves on stage, the audiences witnesses the unraveling of an intimate story which questions and communicates human intimacy, life and its cycle. The poem is interpreted by acclaimed Croaian actor Robert Kurbaša who intiated the video input as integral to the representation of poetics in our daily lives and complementing the embodiment of the poem on stage.
“An impressive use of poetry in a dance performance is first what jumps out in the performance “YOU”, authored and performed by Aleksandra Mišić and Ognjen Vučinić. They seem to have embarked on this not yet fully explored field of endless possibilities, of which an important one is the promotion of dance, however also raising awareness for Croatian poetry in the broader context.”
