Croatian institute for Movement and Dance - 32. Dance Week Festival and the Croatian Dancers Association in collaboration with EUNIC -Croatia present:
(UN)Conference on Dance starts this Friday, May 29th, at 2.30pm. The location of the event is: Kulturno informativni centar, (KIC), Preradovićeva 5, Zagreb.
The aim of the (UN)Conference is to Na exchange information, ideas and reflection on the ways in which dance professionals here in Croatia as well as internationally build their individual and organizational, as well as national strategies and supporting networks. It is our intent to inform on current state of affairs in light of our ambitions, vision and desire as artists, practitioners in the field including ways of operating, learning from each other - all in light of our desire to articulate and implement our collective vision for the development of dance here in Croatia. This is also an opportunity for us to inform our colleagues, our guests from other countries, about the context here in Croatia, and that we be more informed about different opportunities and initiatives internationally. The (UN)Conference offers an opportunity to expand the space for dialogue and to examine who our partners in dance are, and with a view into the future.
Friday: 2.30PM - 5.30PM Artist perspectives and challenges: a dance between desires and realities
Saturday: 10AM - 5.30PM Production models and challenges of postproduction (residencies, festivals, other)
Sunday: 10AM- 5.30PM The Power of Connecting - examples of good practice and strategies
(note: morning session conclude at around 12. 30, afternoon sessions begin at 2.30PM)

Each day concludes with evening performances featuring the Croatian Selection of 32 Dance Week Festival. All registered guests are invited to the performances and will receive 1 complimentary ticket.
The Croatian choreographic platform and the program of the (UN) Conference is organized within the framework of 32. DANCE WEEK FESTIVAL which is supported in part by the Croatian Ministry of Culture, City of Zagreb, Zagreb Tourist Agency, and through the support of EUNIC, Croatia.
